Addressing Uninhabitable Housing in Banyuasin Regency
As part of the PUSPA VII culminating event, the Rubber Research Center, in collaboration with Bank Sumsel Babel, held a symbolic handover of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) aid from Bank Sumsel Babel for the year 2025 to the Banyuasin Regency Government on Sunday, December 21, 2025. The aid provided includes:
• Assistance for the renovation of substandard housing.
• Signage (prohibition/notice boards) and fish fry (juvenile fish).
• Supplementary feeding for toddlers (to address stunting).
• Renovation of a *mushola* (small prayer room).
• Production equipment for MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises).
• Agricultural inputs for red chili cultivation.
This activity was held in conjunction with the inauguration of the “Sang Pesirah” Gallery, an initiative aimed at strengthening the region’s historical, cultural, and creative economic values. In his remarks, the Regent of Banyuasin expressed his appreciation and gratitude to Bank Sumsel Babel and the Rubber Research Center for their tangible support through these CSR programs. He noted that this synergy aligns with the Banyuasin Regency Government’s policy direction, which focuses on promoting sustainable development, strengthening the creative economy, and improving public welfare through multi-stakeholder collaboration. Furthermore, it was stated that the “Sang Pesirah” Gallery is expected to serve as a space for education, promotion, and innovation—one that will help reinforce the region’s identity while fostering the development of local potential within Banyuasin Regency.
