Bank Sumsel Babel Supports Acceleration of 3 Million Homes Program, Distributing 269 FLPP Mortgages Worth IDR 43 Billion in South Sumatra and Babel by September 2025
PALEMBANG — Bank Sumsel Babel affirmed its commitment to supporting the central government's program to provide affordable housing for low-income communities through the distribution of Housing Financing Liquidity Facility Home Ownership Loans (FLPP Mortgages). This support was affirmed during the 2025 FLPP Mortgages Mass Contract and Key Handover Ceremony, held simultaneously nationwide and led directly by the President of the Republic of Indonesia on Monday (September 29).
The main event took place at the Pesona Kahuripan 10 Housing Complex in Cileungsi, Bogor Regency, West Java, and was attended in a hybrid format—some participants attended in person and others participated online through the distributing bank's branch network throughout Indonesia. Bank Sumsel Babel was one of the actively participating distributing banks, registering 269 FLPP mortgage recipients in South Sumatra and Bangka Belitung, with a total disbursement of IDR 43.04 billion.
Nationally, this activity successfully recorded 26,000 mass mortgage contracts for September 2025. Bank Sumsel Babel's presence at this national event emphasized the role of regional development banks in supporting the central government's target of building three million homes, which is being intensified to expand access to first-time homeownership for the public. The event was also attended by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and Festero Mohamad Papeko, PPS President Director of Bank Sumsel Babel.
"Bank Sumsel Babel consistently supports government policies to meet the housing needs of low-income communities. Through the distribution of FLPP mortgages, we not only help realize the dream of owning a decent first home, but also stimulate regional economic growth through the housing sector," said Festero Mohamad Papeko, PPS President Director of Bank Sumsel Babel.
"The momentum of this simultaneous mass mortgage agreement with the President further strengthens our role as a regional development bank that focuses not only on productive financing but also on delivering tangible benefits to the welfare of the people of South Sumatra and Bangka Belitung Islands," he added.
"We see the national three million housing program as requiring full support from various financial institutions. Bank Sumsel Babel is ready to be a strategic partner for the government, providing easily accessible and targeted financing solutions for local communities. We believe this synergy will strengthen local economic resilience and open opportunities for related business sectors, including MSMEs providing construction materials and services," Festero added.
With a branch network spread across South Sumatra, Bangka Belitung Islands, and Jakarta, Bank Sumsel Babel ensures that the subsidized mortgage (KPR) distribution process is efficient, transparent, and reaches communities even in remote areas. This step demonstrates the synergy between regional banks and the central government in achieving the target of providing three million homes for the people.
