ABOUT THE ACTIVITY
This competition is a form of appreciation from Bank Sumsel Babel to the press through a journalistic work competition and to the general public through a non-journalistic video content category. The goal of this activity is to encourage the production of educational, factual, and responsible works regarding the role of regional banks in regional economic development.
The competition will utilize an appreciation scheme of Top 20 Finalists for each category. This initiative serves as both an initial recognition and a curation process to identify the best journalistic works and video content from across Indonesia.
The entire series of activities is carried out with the highest regard for press independence, the principles of Good Corporate Governance (GCG), and compliance with applicable regulations and professional ethics.

1. COMPETITION CATEGORIES

2. PARTICIPANTS
• Active journalists in print, online, or electronic media that are legally registered and verified by the Press Council and possess a valid press card;
• *) Video Content Only: Video content creators, students, creative communication practitioners, and the general public, including journalists, are permitted to participate as individuals, provided they do not use media attributes, do not represent their editorial team, and the work is not in the form of a journalistic news package.
3. GENERAL PROVISIONS
a. The 2026 Bank Sumsel Babel Work Competition consists of several competition categories, with different participation requirements depending on the characteristics of each category.
1) The Journalistic Writing and Photojournalism categories are open to active journalists working in print, online, television, or radio media.
2) The Video Content category is open to content creators, students, creative communication practitioners, and the general public.
Journalists are permitted to participate in the Video Content category as individuals, provided they:
a) do not use media attributes,
b) do not represent their editorial team,
c) the work is not in the form of a journalistic news package.
b. This competition is open to participants in the South Sumatra and Bangka Belitung regions.
c. This competition is free of charge and is not open to all Bank Sumsel Babel employees.
d. Participants must complete the complete submission form.
e. Attach the following files/files of personal data, work, and other supporting documents to the form:
1) Complete and clear personal data
2) Scan or photo of KTP/SIM, Press ID, and NPWP
3) Journalistic work submitted for the competition
4) Proof of broadcast
a) Print media: clipping or photo/screen capture/scan of news page (PDF/JPG)
b) Online and TV media: URL link of news website and screen capture of news page
f. For the journalism category, participants must be active journalists, as evidenced by a valid press card.
g. The media where participants in the journalism category are affiliated must be a legal entity and verified by the Press Council.
h. Each participant may enter one or more competition categories according to the applicable regulations for each category.
i. A minimum of 5 (five) works must be submitted for each competition category.
j. Each submitted work must be produced and published in accordance with the competition category's requirements.
k. Journalistic works submitted to this competition must be in Indonesian.
l. All submitted works must be relevant to the theme, free from elements of SARA (ethnicity, religion, race, and intergroup relations), and meet the standards of the journalistic code of ethics.
m. The deadline for registration and submission of journalistic works to the committee is June 30, 2026, at 3:00 PM WIB.
n. Any claims of ownership by other parties over a participant's work are the full responsibility of the participant. (This relates to model/property releases, if the participant's photograph contains human subjects and/or property belonging to another party.)
o. If a violation of these terms and conditions is later discovered, the committee reserves the right to cancel the winner and the prize may be revoked.
p. The committee reserves the right to conduct administrative verification and disqualify any participant or work that does not meet the requirements.
q. The decision of the Jury is final, binding, and cannot be contested.
r. By submitting an entry to this competition, participants are deemed to understand and comply with all terms and conditions.
