Bank Sumsel Babel Contributes to National Strategic Projects Through Syndicated Financing for the Pusri IIIB Factory

Jakarta - As a Regional Development Bank (BPD), Bank Sumsel Babel continues to contribute to every line of regional development, including encouraging national food security.  Bank Sumsel Babel, in maintaining food security in the region, this time contributed by supporting the construction of the Pusri IIIB Factory which will be built in Palembang.  President Director of Bank Sumsel Babel, Achmad Syamsudin, said that not only in terms of advancing the MSME sector, his party also has an important role in advancing the agricultural sector.  Moreover, South Sumatra is a region with quite extensive and productive agricultural areas, and even plays a significant role in national food security.  Bank Sumsel Babel is one of the banks that supports this, one of which is supporting the construction of the Pusri IIIB factory through syndicated financing cooperation.The hope is that this development will have a positive impact on the regional and national economy, including increasing regional income, as well as opening up other economic opportunities.  "This factory is also a national strategic project to increase food security. Bank Sumsel Babel is contributing to supporting this development. One of the hopes is that farmers in South Sumatra will easily get fertilizer at the right price," said Achmad Syamsudin, Friday 13 October 2023.

Head of the Commercial and Institutional Business Division of Bank Sumsel Babel, Hartono Ginting, who attended this collaboration directly, said that his party contributed to the syndicated credit facility for funding the Pusri IIIB project with a total of IDR 467,000,000,000  The signing of this collaboration took place at the Ballroom of The Langham Hotel Jakarta, Friday 13 October 2023.  This collaboration is a form of financing for the Pusri IIIB Factory construction project which consists of an ammonia factory, urea factory, facilities and infrastructure to support factory  operations.  Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of BUMN Kartika Wirjoatmodjo welcomed the construction of the Pusri III B factory which will soon be built in Palembang.  This factory is said to use low energy technology so as to provide efficiency and be environmentally friendly.  Pusri Palembang's Main Director, Tri Wahyudi Saleh, said that regarding financing, Pusri Palembang appointed several banks regarding the establishment of syndicated credit facilities for funding the Pusri-IIIB project.  He thanked all parties involved, including all banks who collaborated.  This signing ceremony was attended by the Pusri Board of Commissioners, the Directors of the Subsidiary PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero), a number of banking officials involved as well as Yoslimdan Oentoneng Suria and Partner Law and PHSP Law.
