Palembang – The Sharia Business Unit (UUS) of Bank Sumsel Babel has achieved a remarkable national recognition. Infobank magazine awarded Bank Sumsel Babel Syariah an “Excellent” rating for its 2024 financial performance, placing it at the second position nationwide in the Regional Development Bank (BPD) category.

Throughout 2024, Bank Sumsel Babel Syariah recorded positive growth across nearly all key financial indicators. Total assets grew by 12.72 percent to Rp5.08 trillion, third-party funds (DPK) increased by 1.77 percent to Rp2.78 trillion, and financing rose by 13.68 percent to Rp2.64 trillion. This solid performance drove net profit to Rp101.49 billion, marking a 26.25 percent increase compared to the previous year.

According to Infobank, this achievement reflects sound and efficient management, as well as significant contribution to its parent company, Bank Sumsel Babel.

We will continue to maintain financing quality, enhance customer trust, and deliver productive sharia services that benefit the people of South Sumatra and Bangka Belitung,” Festero said.

He further emphasized that the unit’s future strategy will focus on financing productive sectors, supporting MSMEs, and expanding sharia financial inclusion in the region. “We are optimistic that UUS will continue to grow sustainably and make a real contribution to regional economic development,” he concluded.
